About the Artists

We are so excited to be part of the T.D.I.P.T. Mercantile, sharing our love of primitives here with artists and collectors that appreciate these simple and aged treasures.

While I have been woodworking for most of my life, my wife and I started creating wooden primitives a few years ago, mainly for use in our own home. All of the pieces that we will be offering here are handmade by us and are direct reproductions of antiques that we have painted, distressed and aged to give them a primitive finish. We love the simple, honest, sometimes crude and sometimes very elegant, but most importantly always strong and useful, look of the primitive style.
